What You May Have Missed at NRF 2020: Retail’s Big Show
NRF 2020: Retail’s Big Show took place on January 12-14 in New York City. This year’s event, which brought in over 40k attendees, demonstrated once again that NRF is the spot where the retail industry comes to see what the future holds. It's where visionary talent is able to interact with visionary technology, and it offers a unique meeting place for big-box retailers to share out-of-the-box ideas. Productive Edge was excited to participate and engage in discussions surrounding the future of the retail industry.
As our team met with exhibitors and interacted with thought-leaders in the space, we were pleased to observe the increased focus on digital, personalization, and the plethora of retail technology opportunities. From Augmented and Virtual Reality to IoT, companies such as Microsoft and Salesforce highlighted the technology capabilities that will drive change in retail in the coming years.
The keynote, which was delivered by Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, touched on the importance of optimizing retail experiences. He detailed how data will be used in retail to better understand consumers, empower employees, create an intelligent supply chain, and reinvent entire retail business models.
