Investing in Tomorrow's Leaders

In 2019, PE is increasing investment in our program which focuses on cultivating the best and brightest young talent available. In order to achieve our graduate hiring objectives, PE has been touring college campuses to recruit the top student talent for internships, as well as students who are graduating and entering the workforce. These visits have allowed PE to adapt our offerings in order to put an emphasis on the employee’s experience.
Cultivating Talent Through Internships
Productive Edge internships have ranged from software development to digital product design and have allowed students to shadow employees at Productive Edge to gain insight into how the various roles operate within the larger organization. Along with collaborating with different teams, the interns also work with emerging technologies in real-world projects.
Last summer, the interns at Productive Edge leveraged MXChip Azure IoTHub Dev Kit, Raspberry Pi, Microsoft Cognitive Services, and other tools to develop the initial stages of a first-of-its-kind IoT-enabled beer keg. The solution utilized machine learning technology to recall and suggest a drinker’s favorite beer based on facial recognition.
